Multi-GEN Library

Singapore possesses libraries that have different motifs such as for fitness or for leather crafting. However, my library will cater to the bonding of the 3 generations in the family. The grandparents, parents, and children will be able to go on a journey through a path that helps to strengthen bonds with family-friendly activities. The building is located in Canning rise near fort canning park and right next to the Registry of Marriages Building. My building's key feature involves a continuous inclined pathway that guides families through the main road or the ROM building to the fort canning path located behind the building. The green roof also possesses varying levels for activities such as open movie screenings, large lawn areas for resting, and picnicking.
The design came about by celebrating the connection between the main road, the ROM building, and also the Fort canning path. The utilization of ramps is good for it lets kids run around without worrying about falling down steps, and makes going up more convenient for the elderly. As the path ascends upwards, after each turn the space on the path has a section dedicated to a specific activity. For example, a level would be used for board games, the next for origami folding, followed by balloon sculpting, and so forth. ( we design the spaces not plan the activities)
